LWML begins with participation of individual women and groups at the congregational level.
PURPOSE
First, remember your bond as sisters in Christ; spend time together in the Word. LWML recognizes the importance of team building and growing in Christ. God will bless our efforts to strengthen our team. A woman’s involvement in LWML usually begins through the local organization. Local groups:
-
help each woman draw closer to the Lord;
-
encourage and equip women to use their God-given talents in sharing God’s love; and
provide opportunities for service within the congregation and for outreach to the community and world.
LOCAL GROUP
Women who are members of a local group affiliated with the Lutheran Women’s Missionary League are members of the LWML. We would love to have other congregational women join us in serving the Lord with gladness. If you are interested in getting involved with St. Paul Women in Mission contact society president, Sue Hintz at 715-345-0855. Praise God to the new women that have joined our group! It is good to have these women on our team and to help us in our mission goals. It is wonderful to get to know new sisters in Christ.
And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near (Hebrews 10:24–25).
For updated information and LWML events check out the LWML bulletin board outside of the main office at St. Paul.
LWML Sunday is held at St. Paul the first weekend in October with women ushers, readers, and a mite donation for cupcakes. All monies collected go to the North Wisconsin Lutheran Women in Mission mite goal.
